Whats Been Happening December 2016

Whats been happening December 2016

We hope you all had a great Christmas and wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year.

December 2016 will certainly be a month we will never forget.  The start of December was very wet anyway but then came torrential rain which caused horrendous, unbelievable flooding all over the Costa Del Sol.  2 people sadly lost their lives, many people lost their homes and belongings, peoples cars were literally taken away by the force of the water and many beaches and beach bars/restaurants were ruined.

Workers are continuing to repair all the damage that was caused by the floods, so if you are coming for a holiday and think some of the beaches look a bit different, its probably because they are.

The Costa Del Sol was really busy this year and December seemed far busier than normal so it was no surprise to see these final statistics for Malaga Airport.  912,569 passengers passed through Malaga Airport in December which is 21% up from the previous year.  In 2016, 16,672.776 passengers passed through Malaga Airport which is 15.7% up on 2015 numbers.
