Our Personal Experience of La Canada Shopping Centre, Marbella
Malaga Airport Guide brings you the most updated directory of Shops at La Cañada Marbella.
La Cañada is probably the most popular Shopping Centre in Marbella because of all the FREE parking. When you are wandering around, you don't have to worry about clocking up a large parking bill.
La Cañada has seen some huge changes over the years with the opening of Marks & Spencers and Adidas.
Now there is a another wave of new shops like Salsa, Guess, Guess Kids, Kiko MakeUp, SKINC & Dreisog Surf. Outlets soon to open include the biggest Apple Store in Spain and Hollister which are due to open November and Mango Touch which is next to Claire's Accessories.
Alcampo is still by far the best Supermarket which sells everything under one roof and the nearest thing to the Tescos & Sainsburys.
Camelot Park which is a kids ball park where you can leave your kids and shop opened about a year ago in the car park. They also do birthday parties too.
As you enter La Cañada Parque Commercial there is a Petrol Station, Norauto Car Garage, Worten Electrical Store, Sport Zone and Leroy Merlin which is like B&Q, so there really is everything you can need in the one location..
Just outside Leroy Merlin there are two busy cafes / restaurants one of which is a German Sausage Bar which is absolutely brilliant! We are often there for late breakfast.
The negatives are that there is still nowhere to sit without having to buy something to eat or drink. So you cannot sit and feed your baby or just chill. Toilets can be a bit of a walk so you need to plan a few minutes in advance - which mums with kids will understand!

By Car: La Cañada is located on the A7-E15 (N340) ring road around Marbella, on the junction for "Ojen", "Parque Commercial" and McDonalds. La Cañada is about 40 minutes drive from Malaga Airport and approx 10 minutes drive from Puerto Banus.
By Bus: There are 2 types of buses. Main buses and local. The local buses called "Urbanos de Marbella" do go to La Cañada. Line 1, Line 3, Line 6 and the Night Bus. For more information on Buses to La Canada Shopping Centre Click here
By Train We often get asked if there is a train station at La Canada Shopping Centre. Unfortunately there isn´t.
By Taxi. There are two taxi ranks outside.
La Canada Opening Hours
Monday to Saturday 10:00am to 10:00pm. During Summer, Christmas and Spanish Bank Holidays La Canada occasionally opens. Best to telephone first 0034 952 866 134.
The Cinema, Bowling and some restaurants are open on Sundays and beyond these times.
La Canada Parking
There are loads of places to park and best of all its alll FREE. During the summer months we would advise parking underground as the cars get exceptionally hot. Wherever you park remember the number of your space as all the parking lanes look the same. We have lost our car on numerous occasions - especially when we have parked outside.
IIf you are parking outside, watch your items at all times. There have been numerous thefts of purses and bags. Don't open your door and leave your bag inside while you put your shopping in the boot!
Baby & Disabled Facilities
There are lifts in the middle of the complex and at the far end near Zara which give access to all floors.
Toilets have a designated rest room and a place for baby changing with disabled facilities available.
There is also designated parking for disabled drivers. So far I have only seen designated parking spaces for Mothers & Babies at the Miramar Centre in Fuengirola.
Toilets are at the far end , in the middle by the bowling alley and also opposite Al Campo downstairs. There are also some sneaky ones tucked away in the arcades by the bowling.

Open from 12 noon or 2:00 pm - but it depends on how they feel! 20 Lane Bowling Alley, big sports screen, amusement arcade with many machines, pool table, bar and restaurant and children's machines. There is also a small ball park play area which you have to pay for.. Great deals for kids bowling and lunch - sign up for their newsletter and offers. |

Camelot Park La CañadaCamelot Park that used to be in Puerto Banus has moved to La Cañada Car Park (underground). They have a few different size ball parks to accommodate from very young up to about 9 or 10 years old. They do birthday parties and also you can leave your kids there whilst you shop. Cinesa Cinema is an 8 Screen Cinema. Do check if they are showing English / original version and they used to and then stopped. Cinema Website . There are also certain days cheap for younger people. |
