Estepona Restaurants
Because Estepona is an area as well as a Town, to list every single restaurant would be too difficult and if I was to try and list every single restaurant in Estepona, I guarantee that before I have finished typing them all one restaurant would have closed down to be replaced by yet another.
So instead we will be writing personally about a few of the ones that we visit ourselves and on recommendations from friends. That way, its the truth, plus the fact that we don't get paid to go and eat in these restaurants for advertising, means you get good honest information. Not the usual drool that's sometimes listed in Magazines using fancy words that you need a dictionary for all basically meaning, wonderful, fantastic etc.
We quite like Estepona Port, there are lots of restaurants and cafes along the Port. We often sit in one of the cafes for a toastie and coffee. Pappardella Pizzeria has recently opened in Estepona Port. We haven't been there yet but have been to the ones in Puerto Banus and La Caņada which are quite good.
Restaurants in Estepona
Website: www.peggottysonthecosta.com A good old favourite of everyone is Peggotty's Fish & Chips that is in Benavista which is before Estepona. You can eat in or takeaway. Big portions of good British Fish & Chips, mushy peas, beans, burgers and lots more to choose from. We love it, but do come out feeling completely stuffed and wished we hadn't eaten so much. Stock up on the Rennies is you haven't eaten it in a while! There is another Peggottys in La Campana, Nueva Andalucia. |
Ever since we moved here we heard about a restaurant in Estepona Old Town that's like a little house with pictures all over the walls. Well we finally found it and went to it this year. It was exactly that - a restaurant in a house with pictures of old film stars all over it. It was quite dark and Chintzy looking with flowers and gold everywhere. The service was very good and the food was good too. Selection of meats and fish. Not particularly cheap, looking around €100 for 2 people for 3 courses. But nice atmosphere and good service. In the Old Town behind Benetton. |
Website: www.tikitano.net This restaurant was the place to be a few years back, but seems to have calmed down a little now. We still have not been there to eat yet, but have been inside and it was lovely in a beautiful setting. Many of our friends have been and they have really enjoyed it there although it is not cheap. For a starter expect to pay around €15 and a main course up to €30. |
