Ronda, Costa Del Sol
The last time I went to Ronda was about 6 years ago when we came here on Holiday. I´d never really done driving up mountains before....passenger side of course....so one very hot sunny day we drove up there.
I felt so sick and ill all the way up that by the time I got there I just wanted to go home, so it wasnt a very nice memory.
However last week was Half Term (Oct 2007) and rather than go away on a plane we thought we would do some more sightseeing of Spain and go to Grazalema.
However, to get to Grazalema, you need to drive to Ronda!
After living here for a while with numerous trips to Istan, I felt ready for what Ronda was going to bring me.
So we start up the Ronda Road and drive and drive and drive, past the Notorious La Zagaleta and a few other private estates. There are a few hairy moments, it really is quite high. But, because this time I wasnt so nervous, I actually quite enjoyed looking out the window and before you knew it we were in Ronda. It took about 45 minutes all in all.
It really is a beautiful place and its hard to imagine that at the very top of that mountain is a place, where people live...or is that just me?
Its clean, tidy, beautiful houses and park area. There is a main shopping street which all the usual shops and lots of music shops too. The bridge is incredible, you have to go and see Ronda.
From Ronda we then went to Grazalema which is about a 30 minute drive.
