Monda Castle, Monda, Costa Del Sol

When we last visited Monda we stayed in La Fuente Del Sol Hotel in Antequera. On the way back we drove through the back roads which went through, Alora, Pizzara, Coin and past Monda.
Monda is a small village a few minutes drive past La Canada Shopping Centre and Ojen. At the top of it is Monda Castle. I had been to Monda in the past but didn't like the look of the hill up to the Castle. But this time after driving so much in Spain we went up to see it. The hill is very very steep but its only a short hill and takes a couple of minutes.
The Castle is beautiful and on Sundays they serve lunch in the beautifully decorated restaurant and this Sunday there was a belly dancer as the entertainment. The castle is also a hotel and there is an outside pool, although I did get a bit dizzy looking over the edge!
There is a bar area where we sat and had a quick sandwich before heading home. Its really a lovely place to go and see.
They hold a number of other events at the Castle including weddings, if anyone is thinking of getting married!
Getting to Monda is about 40 minutes from Malaga Airport. At La Canada turn off if you continue up the hill and follow the signs for Monda.
