There is a ferry service which operates from the Puerto Banus and Marbella Marinas over the high season (from Easter until the weather braks which can be as late as November!).
It is a great way to travel giving a very different view of the Golden Mile Marbella coastline. It costs €8,50 single (€15,00 return) for adults and €5,00/€8,50 for children for the half hour journey. They also come round to take orders for very reasonably priced drinks during the cruise
There are two different boats: the ferry boat and the catamaran (which is by far the smoother of the two crossings) from the far side of Marbella Marina (next to the lighthouse and statue of San Bernabe) and outside Sinatra’s Bar in Puerto Banus Marina. Tickets can be purchased from the crew before boarding.
Personal Review: I often use this ferry as every time friends come to visit they want to catch it to travel to Marbella. Because it docks at the marina if you catch the 12:00 from Puerto Banus you arrive just in time for a drink at one of the bars in the marina area in Marbella there before heading off for some lunch.
The timetable is:
|From Marbella||From Puerto Banus|
&& is when the catamaran is used. The unmarked times are the ferry boat.
