4* Holiday Inn Express Malaga Airport

The Holiday Inn Express Malaga is the nearest hotel to Malaga Airport. You can reach it in 5 minutes on the Express “A” Bus. You can also take an airport taxi there. However, bear in mind there’s a minimum charge for taxis from the airport, so the fare could seem quite expensive. The hotel is situated with good access to Malaga City and Malaga Beaches, has a cosy bar, complimentary parking for guests and the stay includes continental breakfast. 4* Ibis Budget Hotel Malaga Airport

The Ibis Budget Hotel Malaga Airport Hotel is also situated close to the airport. However, it’s not accessible by public transport, so you do need to take an 8-minute taxi ride to get there. This hotel offers 138 rooms with air conditioning, free WIFI and a covered parking lot. It is only 5 minutes from the beach and close to Malaga City centre. 2. Hotels in Malaga City

If you don’t mind staying a little further away, there are some great hotels in Malaga City. In our opinion, Malaga is one of Europe’s most underrated cities. It’s only a 15-minute taxi ride to/from the Airport or about 10 minutes by train. But many people only visit the Costa Del Sol (Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona) and never the City. We personally visit Malaga every few weeks because of the fantastic food, ambience and culture. So if you have a night to spare, we highly recommend staying in the heart of Malaga. 4* AC Malaga Palacio Malaga

The AC Malaga Palacio occupies a superb position in the centre of Malaga city. It’s very close to Malaga Cathedral and the long park avenue called Paseo del Parque. It also offers beautiful views of the port and beyond, and is ideal for both business and leisure travellers. The airport is just a 15-minute taxi ride away from Malaga Airport. You can also reach the airport by train. The train station is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. 4* Petit Palace Plaza Hotel Malaga

The Petit Palace Plaza Hotel is situated in Malaga City centre. It is right at the top of the bustling Calle Larios shopping street. We have stayed there, and if you ask for a room on the 5th floor overlooking the cathedral it offers a view that really can’t be beaten. It’s a 20-minute walk from the bus and railway stations and 10 km from the airport. If you want to visit the main attractions including the port, Picasso and Thyssen Museums, they’re all just a short walk away. The rooms are light and airy and offer a flat-screen TV, hydro-massage shower, air-conditioning/heating, free WiFi and a mini-bar.
