If you are lucky enough to be faced with a choice of airlines which can transport you to or from Malaga Costa del Sol Airport then you might like to have a look at the fact sheet we have compiled on Thomson Flights.

Making your Reservation
| Booking your Seats | You can pre-book your seats when you make the booking or up to 3 hours before departure. Charges for seats with extra legroom start at £20.00 for a return fight to Malaga. |
| Booking Fees | Thomson charge a credit card fee of 2.5%, which is added on to your booking at the payment stage. There are no handling fees on holiday bookings made with Maestro (formerly Switch), Visa Electron, Solo or Delta. But if you are booking a flight only with Thomson using debit cards, you will be required to pay a fee of £2.95. |
| Passengers with Special Needs | Passengers with special needs should contact 0844 871 1600 before making a reservation. This will enable their reservation agents to confirm availability of any special assistance requirements prior to booking, as any changes made after booking will be subject to their standard change fees. They offer assistance to wheelchair passengers and will transport your wheelchair free of charge in addition to your normal baggage allowance. |

| Travel Insurance | You can book travel insurance with Thomson as part of your flight booking. It is supplied by Mondial Insurance. Full cover details can be found ont eh website. |
Changing Your Booking
| Name Change or Flight Change | You can make amendments to your flight by calling 0871 231 4787. Any changes you need to make are subject to amendment fees: name changes are £25 per name change per flight, date changes are £15 per date per flight. You will be required to pay the difference if there is any increase in fare, and some flights will incur cancellation charges. Changes must be made at least 3 hours prior to departure. |
All About Baggage
| Hold Baggage | A maximum of 5 items of luggage can be pre-booked by each passenger but there is a total allowance of 20kg per person irrespective of the number of bags. Prices start from:

| Hand/Cabin Baggage | Each customer may take one item of hand baggage (maximum dimensions of 55x40x20cm). Other bags such as handbags, laptop bags or laptop computers must be carried within the single item of cabin baggage. You may take up to 5kg free hand baggage into the cabin. |
| Excess Baggage | For short haul flights with Thomson Airways to destinations including mainland Spain, Portugal, the Balearics, Italy, France, Slovenia, Switzerland, Andorra and Austria the excess baggage charge is £10 (€12) per kilogram and are based on cash payment. Payment by credit card will incur a 2% charge. Regardless of excess baggage fees paid for health and safety reasons no single item of baggage may exceed 23kg. |
| Children's Equipment | Collapsible push chairs, infant car seats and wheelchairs are carried free of charge on Thomson Airways in addition to your main baggage allowance, but a cot counts as part of your baggage allowance. |

At the Airport
| Online check in | Not available. But you can use Day Before Check at Gatwick and Manchester Airports. You can just turn up the day before and check your luggage in for free. Day Before Check-in desks are open between 12:00-22:00. For Birmingham you'll need to pre-book by calling 0871 231 4787 and there is a small charge. |
| Airport check in | When flying from the UK check-in desks are usually open 2 – 3 hours prior to departure time, and you will usually be required to check-in at the appropriate terminal at least two hours prior to departure. |

During Your Flight
| On Board Meals/Snacks | You can pre-order in-flight meals. There are special Art Attack themed meals for children offering a hot meal and extras like a yoghurt, a chocolate bar and juice. It all comes in a fold-out box which they can colour in. Prices start from £12 per Adult and £8 per child for return flights. |
| Use of laptop. MP3 player, etc | Portable electronic devices like lap tops, CD and DVD players and walk mans can be used in-flight, but not during take-off or landing.
