London City Airport has a single runway and is located on a former Docklands site in Newham in East London. London City Airport is small compared to the other four London airports, allowing travellers to benefit from quick turnarounds and a short pier, enabling passengers to check-in as little as 15 minutes before takeoff. The terminal is split in to two floors with check in and arrivals on the ground floor and departures on the first floor Because the building is fairly small it is relatively easy to find your way aroundThe departures lounge is on the first floor, where you will also find several shops, bars and cafeterias. |

There are three of the major car hire companies located at the airport: Avis at London City Airport, Europcar at London City Airport and Hertz at London City Airport Their desks are situated on the main concourse on the ground floor |

The taxi rank is directly outside the terminal building and is licensed by the Council. They are black cab with wheelchair access. There is no need to book as taxis are always available. |

There is only a choice of two local bus services connecting to London City Airport. London Bus 473 travels via Stratford, Silvertown, North Woolwich and Prince Regent Station. Docklands Light Railway operates from the airport, linking to the London Underground. Docklands Light Railway Station is about 50 yards (under cover) from the terminal building at London City Airport. The light railway will connect you with Pontoon Dock - West Silvertown - Canning Town (change here for services all over London). |

There are several options for parking at the airport: short and long stay, the main car park and valet parking Note that Motorcycles and bicycles can park free in the parking area opposite the turning to the front of the terminal building just underneath the DLR viaduct. |

London City Airport offers complimentary Wi-Fi access to all passengers. There are public access internet desks by the escalators in the main terminal, and in the departure lounge between gate 1 and 2. They all offer secure high-speed pay-as-you-go internet use. |
