Flights to Malaga from Nottingham East Midlands
If you are planning on flying into Malaga from Nottingham East Midlands Airport then the airlines Ryanair, flythomascook.com charter, bmibaby and Thomson all offer direct flights to the airport on Spain's Costa del sol.
When you fly into Malaga Airport you will see there is still some building work going on as the new second runway and railway station are still under construction (due for completion at the end of this year).
The new terminal 3 building was opened earlier this year (ahead of schedule!) and there is still the original railway link to Fuengirola or Malaga City Centre on the far side of the car parks, but the new line will operate from inside the new terminal building in the transport hub.
At the moment the old terminal 2 is being refurbished so when you arrive you will be directed to terminal 3 which is where passport control, security and the baggage hall are located. But when you leave Malaga Airport to fly back to the UK your ticket will almost certainly say you are departing from Terminal 2. You should go to the old departures hall there to check in, but you will then be directed to terminal 3 shops and departures lounge. If you do not have any bags to check in and have printed off your boarding pass you should go straight to terminal 3 security.
