Making your Reservation
| Booking your Seats | You can reserve your seats online with bmibaby at the time of booking. The charges are from just £4.50 (€6.00) fee per seat, per single flight for the pre-assigned seating. |
| Booking Fees | All bookings and changes made using a credit card are subject to a processing fee of £4.50 per passenger per flight. Bookings made using a debit card are subject to a processing fee of £3.00 per passenger per flight. There is no charge for payments made using a Visa Electron card. A minimum processing fee of £4.00 for debit card bookings and £6.50 for credit card bookings applies. |
| Passengers with Special Needs | If you have any mobility problems or special needs you should contact the bmibaby call centre (0905 8282828 Calls cost 65p per minute from a BT Landline. |
| Flying with animals | If you plan to travel with your dog or cat you need to book the pet with the bmibaby cargo planning team. Your pet will travel in the hold of the aircraft and charges for this service will be advised at the time booking. | Travel Insurance | bmibaby travel insurance can be purchased at the time of booking by completing the requested details. For insurance queries, including claims, contact 01623 631331 during office hours. |
Changing Your Booking
| Name Change | Name changes to flights can only be made via the internet at a cost of the call centre only (0905 8282828 ) and are subject to an administration fee of £40 (€50) per person per flight.. Changes need to be made a minimum two hours prior to departure and during bmibaby reservations opening hours (seven days a week 08:00 to 21:00). |
| Flight Change | The cost to change a booking with bmibaby online is £30 (€37.50) per person per flight, plus any difference in the total cost of the flight when the change is made. If the fare is lower on the new flight no refund will be given. If you try to make the change by telephoning the call centre or wait until you get to the airport the charge will be £50.00 (€63.00) per person. |
All About Baggage
| Hold Baggage | The standard baggage weight allowance with bmibaby is 22kg per person per one way flight. Each passenger can take a maximum of 5 bags per one way flight that must not exceed the weight allowance purchased. The baggage fee varies and may be prepaid at the current discounted internet rate of £13.99/€17.00 per 18kg standard baggage weight allowance per one way flight and £9.00/€11.00 per each additional kg when making your reservation online.. |
| Hand/Cabin Baggage | Each passenger is permitted one standard piece of hand luggage with maximum dimensions 55x40x20cm and a maximum weight of 10kg. These dimensions relate to a packed bag, including the wheels/handles. If your baggage doesn’t fit comfortably into one of the bmibaby gauges at the airport, you will have to check it into the hold and pay an additional fee |
| Excess Baggage | All baggage in excess of the purchased checked baggage weight allowance will be charged for at a standard rate at £12.00/€15.00 per kilo. The maximum weight for any one item of baggage is 32kg. |
| Children's Equipment | With bmibaby Infants under the age of 2 years are entitled to a 5kg baggage allowance. For children over 2 years, the price of flights and the baggage allowance is the same as for adults. A pram/buggy will be carried free of charge |
| Sports Equipment | Leisure equipment such as bicycles, fencing equipment, fishing equipment, golf clubs, hockey equipment, musical equipment, paintball equipment, scuba equipment, skis and snowboards will be charged at £17.99 (€22) per flight per item on the website and £23.00 (€28) per flight per item when booked through the bmibaby call centre or airport. Larger items including Canoes, Hang gliders, Surfboards and Wind Surfboards will be charged at £24.99 (€31) per sector per item on the website and £30.00 (€38) per sector per item when booked through the bmibaby call centre or airport. |
At the Airport
| Online check in | If you only have hand luggage and are not travelling with infants you can check in online with bmibaby. |
| Airport check in | If you have hold baggage and check in at the airport you will be charged £10 (€10) per passenger. bmibaby check in at the airport opens two hours prior to the scheduled departure time. |

| Airport Lounges | bmibaby offers lounge access for a fee so that passengers can take advantage of complimentary refreshments that are available at some airports. Passengers who have purchased lounge access are able to gain access 2 hours prior to their departure time. |
During Your Flight
| On Board Meals/Snacks | On your bmibaby flight you can purchase hot and cold drinks, alcohol, sandwiches, snacks and confectionery. As a rough guide, tea and coffee is £2, sandwiches are around £4.50 and bottled water is £2.00. |
| Use of laptop. MP3 player, etc | Portable games, laptops and stereos can be used during the flight but not during take off and landing. Mobile phones must be turned off before boarding and not switched on until well inside the airport terminal building. |
