When you land at Malaga Airport you will see there is still some building work going on with the new second runway and railway station still under construction and due for completion at the end of this year. 

The new terminal 3 building opened just before Easter of this year. The railway link to Fuengirola or Malaga City Centre is still on the far side of the car parks, but when the new line is completed it will operate from the platform inside the transport hub of the new terminal 3 building.

The original terminal 2 is being refurbished but it is still being used by some airlines for check in so the old departures hall on the first floor is still open.  After you have checked in or if you have already checked in online and have your boarding pass, go straight to terminal 3 which is where passport control, security, boarding gates and the duty free shops, bars and restaurants are all located

The airport is approximately 10km from the City Centre on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness Road which is well signposted.

Taxis are available from Comcab who are situated at the front of the terminal. Turn left for the taxi rank where a marshall will assist you in getting on your way as soon as possible. You can pre-book Comcab taxis at their booking office which is to the right of the main entrance.

All taxi fares are metered and many vehicles are fitted with Chip & PIN payment terminals (transaction charge applies).

A journey to the city centre takes about 25 minutes and costs about £15 (depending on traffic) and a trip to Dyce Railway Station , costs £6/£7 and takes 5-10 minutes.

Regular buses run from the Aberdeen Airport to the city centre and takes about 30 minutes in average traffic, longer at peak times.

You can catch buses to Aberdeen bus station, Dyce Railway Station, Peterhead, Elgin and Inverness from directly outside the airport terminal.

Long-distance coaches call at the Guild Street bus station in central Aberdeen which is next to the railway station and can be reached from the airport by bus or taxi.Coach operators at Aberdeen include National Express, Scottish Citylink and Megabus.

The nearest railway station to the airport is Dyce, which is about 3.5km from the terminal and easily reached by bus or taxi.

Dyce is on the Aberdeen-Elgin-Inverness line and is also served by some through trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh. It is unstaffed but tickets can be bought on the train. A standard single fare to Aberdeen is £1.90/return £3.00. Trains run at least once an hour Monday to Saturday and less frequently on Sundays. 

Aberdeen railway station is in the city centre and a ten-minute train journey from Dyce.

There are three car parks available at the airport: Priority Parking, Short Stay and Long Stay. All are a short distance from the terminal building and a shuttle bus runs regularly from the Long Stay Car Park which is where disabled parking is situated.

Short stay is suitable for stays of just a few hours and is situated right next to the terminal. Aberdeen Airport's Priority Parking service offers additional perks like wider parking bays and access to Priority Security
