- To hire a car you need to have held a valid driving licence for a minimum period of three years. The minimum age of the hirer/driver must be 23 and they must be in possession of a credit card when they make the booking. You also have to present your licence and credit card to the Solmar representative when you arrive at the airport to collect the car.
You can return your hire car to a different location but the price of the car rental may increase if you have hired the vehicle for less than a week.
You can drive the hire car to other European countries with prior Solmar consent and by paying an extra European insurance. It is forbidden to drive in North African countries, (Morocco, Algeria, etc.)
All Solmar hire cars are new and replaced after 6-8 months of use. In the unlikely even of a breakdown just call the car hire company and they will solve the problem as quickly as possible.
If you want to share the driving while on holiday in Spain you can include up to 4 named drivers on the hire car contract.
